Nagoya RB-CLP Antenna Window Clip Mount

I used this bracket, modified by the addition of a metal plate, held under the nut of the BNC, to which radial wires were attached, as a base for short HF whips in the MFJ18xx family for in-the-car portable. They work well (where "well" means "what I expected for a 4.5 foot long HF antenna"). I was very pleased at how quickly the order shipped, and how quickly it made the treck from SC to CA.

Just getting back into the hobby after a few year break. This was a fast and fairly cheap way to get an antenna outside my aluminum truck, as a mag mount wouldn't work.
I used a Diamond RH77 type ducky that's about 16" long on the window mount. Sure beats a stubby ducky from inside the truck!

I was using my UV935g in the car and started to get out of range of a repeater. It was easy to disconnect the u935's antenna and attach it to this adapter. The antenna could then be mounted temporarily outside of the car via the window and connection to repeater was reestablished. This may not give the range of a mag mount antenna but it is much easier to store and deploy while traveling.

Checked it with the Bird 43, and the Rig Expert. It checked out and performed perfectly. Great QSOs!

Since you'll get no ground plane on the side of the window, make sure you use a half-wave antenna (which requires no ground plane). I used a Nagoya 771g (GMRS) and I get great reviews on the air. I had to use two adapters to make it fit to the radio (SMA female to SMA female) and the antenna (SMA male to SMA male). I'm ordering another Nagoya 771g (this time with an SMA male fitting so that'll only require the adapter at the radio. Very low profile and easy to take off and hide in the car at the car wash. The versatility is also good. Just unscrew antenna from mount and back on to your HT and your mobile (on foot). 73 to all.

Great window mount, just what I needed to hook up my HT to an external antenna. Fits on my back window and the cable is long enough to reach to the HT in a cup holder. Will use this until I install a fixed antenna and then will keep it as a emergency unit.

The mount works very well but the BNC connector is very fragile.

The performance with a Nagoya NA-771 is excellent with this accessory. Once i figured out what adapters I needed to connect the cable to my Baofeng UV-5R, the install was very easy.

Fringe mobile work, in conjunction with half wave antenna. I have used this combo to work repeater from 37 miles at 5 watts.

Wife is happy with the new antenna. She was not very happy with the mag-mount I was using due to the mag-mount was not mag-mounting as mag-mount should mag-mount!!!

This is my 1st day using it but I was receiving very clear signals and I got good reports on my transmit from repeaters many miles away. I was using it with a Nagoya na-771 and a Yaesu FT-60. I like it so much I am going to buy another one.
