Wouxun ELO-005 Battery Eliminator for KG-905G / KG-935G / KG-UV8H

Using it for my KG-905G. Works well when I don’t want to use a battery. Recommend highly for those situations.

I bought this along with my KG-935G Plus as a battery saving option for in my vehicle on long trips, and it works very well.

Pairs perfectly with UV8H. I use it in the truck as a mobile. The continuous power has given me the ability to reach a few more repeaters that have been previously out of reach. Great addition so that battery swapping has been eliminated.

The perfect addition! Now I can my 905G with my solar generator;

I use my radio with a amplifier and now when turn the key of my car everything turn on. The battery now keep the charge more longer. Comfortable? Yeaaaa!!

No complaints. Worked great on a recent long road trip. Couldn’t as for anything more.

It works as you would expect, fits nice, too bad the cable didn't come out at the top, I can't put my HT in a cupholder now. Oh well

Solid and great quality product (except for the "tight fit" problem in my KG-935G, as mentioned in other reviews). Trimming with razor blade helps a lot to fix that. Works great in the car, and enables me to use my radio as a "mobile rig" for long drives! Ordering process was easy, and shipping was prompt, with quick delivery.

There are 2 plastic ramps at the base near the latch that snug-up the battery pack. On the lithium battery pack the bottom of these ramps are flush with the rest of the battery case. On the Battery Eliminator pack the bottom of these ramps end in a step.

These steps catch on the radio case when inserting the Battery Eliminator and makes it difficult to remove when it swings out of the radio. Taking a knife and smoothing out the bottom of the ramp so it is flush with the rest of the battery pack case while leaving the top of the ramp untouched solved the issue and keeps the Battery Eliminator snug.

The one I received had a tight fit. And had to use unreasonable force to get it off. Emailed BTWR. They told me they are all snug for a good contact. I looked further. There were 2 tabs which had excess plastic
from the mold. Took an emery board and knocked it down. Until I got a proper fit.

Work great when you plug it in to a cigarette lighter 12v plug power source saves battery.

The batteries in the radios are great, but will not last forever. This item is great to eliminate the need to charge batteries.

When I bought my 805Gs and 905G, I bought extra batteries and alkaline battery packs because this was not available. Too bad, this is what I really wanted. The feel pretty solid and work fine. Perhaps a longer cord would be a good update, but these stretch.

I use this mostly when I am in the car it is a life saver and provides a much longer batter life. I use this on my 905G.

Nothing worse than using the radio in the field and the battery dies. Now I can continue to use it as long as the 12v power is working on my vehicle or on my 12v portable inverter.

Does exactly what you think. It replaces the stock battery with a dummy that you can plug into your cigarette lighter socket. The dummy battery is the same dimensions as the stock battery. The 12v plug does not feel cheap. I expect to get years of use out of this. While caravanning I was able to hand a KG-905g with this installed to a buddy and not worry about batteries or charging on a multiday trip.
